In every village can be found accumulations of objects which are like sculptures, small pieces of architecture or still lifes composed of planks, old and new windows, pieces of scaffolding, barrels, car tyres and plastic bags.

These constellations of objects look as if they have been deliberately arranged, and yet there is also a random aspect to them, which has a poetic quality. Casually withdrawn from use and pragmatically put aside, they have been temporarily stored away, stockpiled, discarded or forgotten. Awaiting further use or disposal. Time is beginning to take its toll on the surfaces of these objects, evidence of the transitory nature of things. The village inhabitants do not appear in the photographs, but the accumulations of objects are the traces of human action.

„[...] Die Kunst vermeidet bekanntlich das „schöne Detail“. Sie sucht das Besondere statt dessen im Normalen. Andy Heller (1975), zuletzt Meisterschülerin von Joachim Brohm, fotografiert gern hinterm Haus. In kühler, dennoch kräftiger Farbigkeit reiht sie konzeptionell Fotos vom Zaun mit Palettenstapel, von der Reifenspur hin zum Feld, vom Platz der verhüllten Holzmiete, dem Hoftorbereich, der Garagenecke: Spuren, Räume, Funktionen, eine kleine Soziologie der Bildlichkeit vom genutzten Lebensraum. Ohne Zeigefinger, sogar mit Tücke: Suchet, dann findet ihr vielleicht. [...]“
